McGee's evolution

Watching this, it really did dawn on me why I only am interested in the pursuit of greatness and the highest ideals of swing mechanics, golf club design, and the truly great game that was invented with the proper proportions in place. I know what I saw, and I am sure people that watched Hogan in person and really knew what they were seeing must have a similar view on the game. Just feel so blessed.

Today a guy in my regular foursome said during lunch that everyone should chip in for me to get lessons, and then to buy some "21st century clubs."

Between that, and the talking while I'm on the tee, or pushing the golf cart in my line of sight while ready to hit a wood off the fairway, I'm not sure I want to keep joining them on Sunday.

Not a good score today. But very great results from chips and bunker shots (very hard sand), and nice putting with the heavy/flat putter made for a nice day. 5 fairways on the front nine.

Just after playing with mod1 and mod2 plus the slotting, and 'drop' John had me try. Four hasty shots, on thin, one fat, one a fade/slice, the last went OK.

Was filmed in slow-mo but for some reason YouTube doesn't participate. Also converts my video to 480...

Don't know if John has mentioned it to you but look into playing the ball back more in your stance and use a rotated plane line - a la Trevino. It looks like you're struggling to find your low point and with the ball that far forward you have to reach for it. And don't forget to initiate with right knee bend. Your last shot you did get some in there.

Keep drilling - good things come to those who drill.

Ball position - I don't doubt it's not in the right place.

Put crazy top spin on some drives today - I think the ball was too far forward. It seems to creep forward. Anyway, put it back and things started to get nice.

I had a lot of fun recording this. I think I'll get a small stand and do it more often.

Ugly 8 iron shot that worked perfectly:

Newman took this panoramic pic. I'm way on the left, and struck the 2 wood from there onto the fringe of the green... then was robbed of the eagle due to the pin not being put in correctly

I remembered reading this when I got to that cliff, and thought 'woah, I don't imagine ever going for the hole from here'.

Regarding 16 - maybe there's a vortex at the pin. I shot a wedge, landed right where I aimed and rolled up to easy birdie distance.

Yikes. Standing up and flipping. I'd stop using my driver a few days later because I kept topping my drives and getting all this top spin.

(This is just before impact).
