Phillip was one of my good friends during my years on tour. It is with great sadness and regret to hear the news of his untimely passing.
He was the current active golf coach for Western Kentucky University and will be greatly missed.

A 1985 graduate of Western Kentucky University and four-year member of the golf team, Hatchett had 14 years of PGA Tour experience on the Canadian, South African and South American tours and 24 years of experience as a golf instructor.

While on the foreign PGA Tour from 1986-2000 Hatchett won nine tournaments, including three-straight Irving Cobb titles and back-to-back Quebec Open championships. He also captured the 1990 Vancouver Open crown and the 1992 Canadian Tournament Players Championship, as well as added five top-three finishes in various other foreign PGA Tour events.

Phil was just one of those great guys to hang out with. Always positive with an infectious smile and sense of humor. He was also a hell of a magician and would entertain the guys on tour with endless magic tricks and fun. His golfing accomplishments of course speak for themselves.

Thanks Phil for the great times and inspiring life!
