Tire balancing weights instead of lead tape

Tire balancing weights instead of lead tape

Anybody ever try tire balancing weights instead of lead tape when you have to bump it up a good bit? Not the kind that has the clip for the outside of the rim, but the kind that comes in 3 ounce strips with a sticky tape on one side. They come in break off sections of .25oz, .5oz, and 1oz. Maybe more. Noticed one by a dumpster and looked them up. A 3oz strip from a truck shop was less than 2 bucks. I saw a 5lb box of them on Ebay for $30, but it would be cheaper to order one from a supplier.

Just thought this may interest those who need to increase the weight more that just a little bit. I had never used lead tape before, didn't realize how thin it was.
