DeChambeau iron build

DeChambeau iron build

Postby mdrretired » Fri Nov 11, 2016 8:37 pm

I made a set of DeChambeau irons (same length etc.) just for a giggle. Interesting concept. These are Spalding Elite heads with soft forged steel. I based these on ABS specs for lie and weight. The 6 iron is the base club so they are 37.5" long. Lofts were set a 4* difference off of the 32* 6 iron. The shaft are Titleist Tri-Spec firm flex with 10" first steps. Will sell for $300 if interested.

How'd you go about adjusting the head weights? I'm probably most interested in how you removed weight from the more lofted irons.
Thanks

Actually I used Lag' specs for weight and lie angles so this is a hybrid set I guess. They are probably not true DeChambeau irons other than the concept for length and loft. I contacted the manufacturer of his irons and they would not share the specs. Just and experiment.
