Vintage Rocket Shafts For Woods

Vintage Rocket Shafts For Woods

Postby paradigm_shift » Fri Sep 22, 2017 6:04 am

So right now my two iron sets have Green Rocket Shafts and I like them.

I'm looking for a flat stiff persimmon Driver and it seems that the older Spalding Top Flite Model 57 comes with a Rocket Shaft. Anybody know much about this Model and the feel of the Rocket shaft in a driver.

Thanks

I have a set of model 59s with the green rocket shafts and they don't work at all for me. They aren't quite the same as the iron shafts.
Plus, the heads look closed to my eye, but I see that in a lot of woods, so not sure if they really are.
They're in great shape though, so it's a bummer I'm not going to use them.

I have a set of Spalding Model 76 with the green rocket shafts in R flex. In fact I think I bought them from k2. I haven't put them into play because I found that left came into play too easily with them. I should pull them out and give them another try.
