ABS Modern Driver? It exists...

So, in the modern 54* lie driver head I finally went ahead and put a steel shaft in there and that's made all the difference. The graphite just never felt right.
Last night I found another old persimmon with an s300 in it. So, pulled that, tip trimmed, and put it in my modern 54* lie 3 wood head.
Driver came out to 399 grams total weight and feels nice.

Kyle, is that the Wishon head you have? I've got a full set of modern metal "woods" lying about with steel X shafts in them. Putting a 54* head on those shafts might work out.

Yep!
My 54* lie driver and 3 woods are Tom Wishon clubs. I added some weight to the heads, put the s300s in, and my preferred heavy grips on. I'll use them in my competitive bag and continue playing the persimmons in many of the casual rounds. Mike refinished a few persimmons for me recently.
I pair the modern woods with my 75 dynas and my persimmons with the 54 Spaldings. Bullseye putter. So I have 2 bags I like a lot.
I haven't got the newly configured Wishons on the course yet, just two range sessions, but they feel nice. I have the driver at 43".
