were there any old persimmon drivers that came off the rack with a 50 degree (approximately) lie angle? if so, which ones?

I think Lag had posted on his Persimmon Sets thread a set of Byron Nelsons's,, Macgregor I beleive,
that were "right from the start",, pretty rare set though, based on my hunting around...
Most of the stuff I have picked up, even the 50's gear is pretty upright vs. ABS standards...
54-56 degrees on the drivers I come across.

I think Lag said the Spalding Model 28's were a bit flatter.

I have some Spalding Model 38's that are also very flat, around 51*. Great clubs, too. They have the half sizes ( 2 1/2, 3 1/2, 4 1/2) plus a driver. I love the lofts on these (11*, 14*, 17*, 21*).

I like my M23 woods, but I think I'm going to pick up a set of Spaldings with stiff shafts.
