Lag: Read your comments on another site today which was a real eye-opener to me. Wish I would have read it before my session today. Anyway, I know on this site you discuss the shorter hand travel in conjuction with a large shoulder turns. Never gave it much thought until I read that this forces the body to play catch-up to the hands, instead of the other way around. That's one of the best insights I've ever heard ever! Can't wait until next session.

I hope I ask this correctly.....do you think that BH after leaving the 4:30 line and traveling through P3 did a pinch move down low, or instead simply posted hard to the left, or did both sequentially?..RR :)

If I understand your question I would say better in unison.. and in a very connected way...

Thank you.....I should have used unison instead of sequentially....using the correct words is half the battle sometimes.

Finding that shorter hand travel puts real emphasis, for me, on how the shoulder girdle is functioning.

From time to time I read other forums on the web and I don't think they are even close on some areas of motion as compared to ABS. Good stuff.

Should probably send ABS a check for all the nuggets here, and for the Captain's comedic relief too. RR

A great little practice aid for next to nothing ;)

Styles,
This sounds interesting, and I can sure use the help. Can you elaborate on how to use the dowel? Thanks/eagle

eagle,

just get a 6" or so length of dowel and place it on the ground so it points at your target. Strike a few putts with it so it scoots along the ground in a straight(ish) line. Then try hitting a ball. You will be pleased with the outcome.

I do a similar drill using a "AA" battery.

Let's see if my math is correct....If shorter hand travel forces the body to play catch-up to the hands- which makes so much sense......and......if trying or having the feeling of bringing a bent left wrist into impact is negated by an accelerating pivot as Lag stated over on the Trail Hand Action thread posted by Mandrin....maybe that's why the Wee Ice Dude cupped L at the top. He knew his accelerating pivot, along with attempting to use the full loft of the club would pin his L wrist flat and produce angled hinging by default.

Any more of these lightbulb moments and I'm going to have to start wearing grey slacks, cardigan sweater, and a white flat cap... RR

Seeing as there was a good bit of Trackman talk here a while ago, I figured I'd post this here....
It does look like there are things to be gained from the technology, but looking at one of the greatest golfers of all time, and one of the finest and purest of ball strikers to have ever lived be told to 'hit more up on it' by someone who is, to say the very least, in my estimation, a lesser golfer than Faldo, is just beyond sad and ridiculous to me....
Gotta love progress....
