Tourney Action shafts?

Tourney Action shafts?

Postby fluffy270 » Sat Mar 29, 2014 5:20 pm

Hi all,
I'm entertaining idea of picking up some early Mac's, most of what I'm looking at have Tourney Action 2 Shafts installed.
Now I'm guesstimating that "2" is a stiff/regular shaft. Are any ABSer's able to further enlighten me on the Tourney Action shafts?
I'm concerned that these might feel too loose. The only shafts I've experienced from that era are the True Temper "Green band "Rockets which work well for me, yet the TT Profit R's feel too light and soft.
FWIW I generally play X100/200's in my modern (80's) gear.

Any feedback is much appreciated.

Yeah a 2 is medium stiff. I love the action 1 shaft. It has a lower trajectory than the pro pel.

Thanks for posting. It was good to see this post. And I was wondering about about the Tourney Action 1 shaft in the DX 1 irons. I went and compared the shaft to Hogan shafts and noticed they are similar in the step pattern. I would like to do an ABS job on this set and hope that the shafts will hold up to an extension, and a touch of lead down the pipe before regripping.
